What it is

A premium, fast, bilingual website, end to end

A web design project in Mallorca with SERMAN delivers a website ready to work: content architecture, interface and motion design, a fast and accessible build, native English and Spanish copy, SEO foundations, legal texts and consent, and tracking from day one. It suits island businesses and anyone seeking a web design company in Spain that works natively in English.

Your site is now read by people, Google's crawler, AI assistants that cite sources and AI browsers acting on someone's behalf. So we treat website design as one system: what you see, what moves and the code beneath must tell the same story.

This site is our demo: motion is built on transforms and opacity and stops when your device asks for reduced motion, the HTML is semantic, and every page exists in both languages, linked with hreflang. Custom engineering and maintenance sit under web development; online shops under ecommerce.

When do you need a new website or a redesign?

You need a new website or a redesign when the current one holds your business back: it's slow, looks poor on mobile, can't be edited without help, undersells your brand or gets visits that never become enquiries. Before any website redesign, we measure what already performs so you don't lose it.

Mallorca adds its own reasons: many customers decide from abroad, in English and on a phone, and the site must be ready months before the season.

  • Your site is slow, or shifts around while you use it.
  • The English version is machine-translated, or missing.
  • Every text change depends on a supplier who takes days.
  • You sell online to consumers and aren't sure you meet accessibility law.
  • You get visits but few calls, messages or bookings.

Premium design and motion that guide rather than distract

Motion design adds value when it orients, explains or confirms: it reveals hierarchy, links sections and responds to every click. We design it within the visual system and a performance budget, never as decoration that slows reading or buying.

Starting from your identity, or building it first through branding, we create a design system: typography, accessible colour, grid, components and a motion guide, so every new page keeps the standard.

Premium design also converts: every template has one clear next step (a short form, WhatsApp, a booking or a call) and no dark patterns such as fake urgency. Once traffic arrives, conversion rate optimisation refines it with data.

  • Reveals and transitions that set the reading order.
  • Micro-interactions that confirm each action.
  • Scroll-led storytelling for complex products or processes.
  • 3D and interactive pieces only where they explain better.
  • Reduced motion for anyone who requests it.

Passing Core Web Vitals: performance decided at the design stage

A fast website is decided at the design stage, not at the end. We design and build to Google's published Core Web Vitals thresholds: LCP of 2.5 seconds or less, INP under 200 milliseconds and CLS below 0.1, covering loading, responsiveness and visual stability.

INP replaced FID on 12 March 2024 and measures how quickly the page responds when you tap, click or type. All three depend on design: we animate mainly transform and opacity, which avoid recalculating layout, reserve space for images so nothing jumps, and load first what appears first.

We test with lab data during the build and real-user data once launch traffic allows (PageSpeed Insights, Chrome UX Report, Search Console), because real visitors' phones and connections count.

In depth

Since 28 June 2025, Spain's Law 11/2023, which transposes the European Accessibility Act, has required consumer e-commerce services to be accessible. Micro-enterprises providing services (fewer than 10 staff and turnover or balance sheet up to €2 million) are exempt.

We design accessibly on every project anyway, using WCAG and EN 301 549: sufficient contrast, keyboard navigation, visible focus, alt text, labelled forms, captions and reducible motion. Accessible sites are easier for everyone, even in a hurry or bright sunlight.

We test with automated tools and, above all, by hand with a keyboard and screen reader. Audits of existing sites sit within UX/UI and accessibility. This isn't legal advice on your case.

Websites that Google, assistants and AI agents understand

An AI-ready website is, above all, clear, semantic and accessible. Google's AI search guide, updated in July 2026, notes that AI browser agents may read screenshots, the DOM and the accessibility tree to act for someone, so what helps a screen-reader user helps an agent too.

We use semantic HTML, real links and buttons, labelled forms, and key facts such as services, hours and terms in text, not images. We follow web.dev's agent-friendly guidance and add only structured data that still earns its place, such as Organization or Product.

No myths: Google says appearing in AI Overviews or AI Mode needs no special file or markup; the requirement is an indexed page eligible for a snippet. We also agree an AI-crawler access policy with you, checked at your CDN.

Bilingual web design: native English and Spanish with hreflang

A genuinely bilingual website has two versions written for two audiences, not a translation. Each language gets its own copy, titles and URLs, linked with hreflang so Google shows each person the right one, and the switcher leads to the same page, not the home page.

The design plans for it: components that handle longer or shorter text, and examples chosen for each market. English searchers use different words from Spanish ones, so keyword research is done per language.

We avoid unreviewed mass translation, which Google can treat as scaled content abuse. For several countries or a third language such as German, we plan it with international SEO.

CMS, handover and maintenance without lock-in

The CMS should suit how your team works, not agency habit. WordPress suits a familiar ecosystem and simple editing; a headless CMS with a custom front end suits speed, design freedom and several languages; Shopify or another commerce platform suits businesses that sell first.

Handover includes recorded training, design-system documentation and every account in your company's name, from domain to analytics. The code and designs are yours.

When redesigning a site that already ranks, we prepare the redirect map and check indexing after launch as part of technical SEO. Updates, security and backups run through a maintenance plan under web development.

The SERMAN approach

Why design your website with SERMAN

  1. Design and code in one team

Whoever designs the motion knows how it's built, so what you approve is what goes live.

  2. Compliance from the first sketch

Accessibility, cookies, legal notice and privacy are designed in, not patched on.

  3. Natively bilingual

English and Spanish written for each audience, never machine-translated.

  4. Everything in your name

Domain, hosting, accounts, code and designs are yours, with no tie-in.

What it is not

What a web project with us isn't

  • Not a bought template with your logo on top, nor a heavy page-builder site.
  • Not motion for show: if an animation doesn't orient, explain or confirm, it stays out.
  • Not an accessibility widget promising automatic compliance: accessibility is built and tested.
  • Not a promise of rankings or sales: the website is the foundation, not the whole strategy.
  • Not legal advice: we prepare the structure and base texts for your adviser to approve.
  • Not a tie-in: no accounts in our name and no code you can't take with you.

What we measure

How we know your website is working

We judge a website by how it performs after launch.

  1. Field Core Web Vitals

LCP, INP and CLS from real users, by template and device.

  2. Accessibility

Issues found in automated and manual tests, and their fixes.

  3. Conversions by journey

Forms, WhatsApp clicks, calls and bookings, by language and landing page.

  4. Template engagement

Interaction, reading depth and exits on key pages.

  5. Indexing and visibility

Indexed pages and impressions per language in Search Console.

  6. Technical health

404 errors, redirects, failed form submissions and security alerts.

Who it's for

A particularly good fit if…

  • You run a hotel, restaurant, clinic, academy, professional firm, software company or product brand.
  • Your site is slow, weak on mobile or impossible to edit without help.
  • You have international customers but a machine-translated English version.
  • You sell online to consumers and must meet Spain's accessibility law.
  • You're launching a brand, a product or a new line of business.
  • You want a site that Google, AI assistants and browsing agents understand easily.

Compliance

Rules we apply to every website

Built in by default. Not a substitute for legal advice.

  1. Accessibility (Law 11/2023)

Required since 28 June 2025 for consumer e-commerce services, with micro-enterprises providing services exempt. We use WCAG and EN 301 549 on every project.

  2. Legal notice (LSSI, art. 10)

Company name, address, email and another direct contact, Mercantile Registry details, tax ID (NIF), details for regulated professions, prices including taxes and delivery where shown, and any codes of conduct you follow.

  3. Cookies (AEPD guide)

No analytics or advertising cookies before consent, reject on the same layer and with the same weight as accept, no cookie walls, consent lasting 24 months at most, and Consent Mode v2.

  4. Privacy and forms (GDPR and LOPDGDD)

A first-layer notice beside each form and a full policy: controller, purposes, legal basis, recipients, transfers, retention, rights and complaints to the AEPD.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a professional website cost in Mallorca?

The cost of web design in Mallorca depends on scope: templates and pages, languages, how much content must be created, the level of motion and interactivity, integrations and the CMS. After a first call, we send a proposal broken down by phase.

How long does it take to design a website?

A corporate site with a few templates takes weeks; one with several languages, many templates or integrations takes months. Content (copy, photos and decisions) usually sets the pace, so we plan it from day one.

What does a website need to comply with the law in Spain?

At minimum: a legal notice with the details in article 10 of the LSSI, a GDPR-compliant privacy policy, notices on every form, and cookie consent before analytics or ads run, with reject as easy as accept. Consumer e-commerce also needs accessibility under Law 11/2023, micro-enterprises aside.

Does my website have to be accessible by law?

Yes, among other cases, if you provide e-commerce services to consumers: since 28 June 2025 under Law 11/2023, unless you're a micro-enterprise providing services. Even when exempt, it pays off: an accessible site reaches more people and is easier for search engines and AI agents to read.

Is WordPress or a custom website better?

It depends on who edits it, its content, languages and integrations. WordPress offers a vast ecosystem; a custom build on a headless CMS usually gives more design freedom and speed, with less plugin upkeep. We recommend what fits your case.

Does web design include SEO?

It includes the foundations: architecture by search intent, clean URLs, metadata, headings, useful structured data, hreflang, speed and indexability. Sustained rankings need ongoing content and authority work, which is our SEO service.

Can my website be in several languages?

Yes. Each language should get a native version with its own URLs, copy and metadata, linked with hreflang. We work natively in English and Spanish and add a third language when the business needs one.

Does motion design slow a website down?

It needn't. Favouring transform and opacity, reserving every element's space and loading heavy effects only when needed keeps motion compatible with passing Core Web Vitals, and anyone who turns on reduced motion gets a calmer version.

Do you only work with businesses in Mallorca?

No. Our web designers are in Palma de Mallorca (Majorca to many English speakers), but we work across the Balearics, the rest of Spain and abroad, in person or remotely.
