Digital PR agency: links and mentions you earn, never buy

We are a digital PR agency in Mallorca that turns what your business knows into data, stories and expert comment journalists want to publish: coverage your customers read, links Google values and mentions AI assistants can cite.

What it is

Link building means getting other websites to link to yours. Today it only works one way: earning links and brand mentions in real publications in your sector by giving them something worth covering. That is digital PR: public relations built for the web and search.

A strong article in a trade publication sends qualified visitors, shows Google you're a reference on your topic and adds an independent source about you that AI assistants with search can find and cite. That is why it underpins your SEO and your AI visibility.

As a link building agency, we don't sell link packages. We build a white hat link building strategy around angles only you can offer, pitch it to local, national and international media and measure what matters, with assets from our content marketing team.

In depth

A link counts when an editor chooses to include it because your content gives their readers something. Under Google's spam policies, updated in August 2026, buying or selling links for ranking, excessive link exchanges, expired domain abuse and site reputation abuse are spam. The line is editorial, not technical.

Since April 2026 Google can also use users' spam reports to take manual actions, and its AI search guide lists chasing inauthentic mentions as unnecessary.

Since 30 August 2026, site reputation manual actions (so-called parasite SEO) no longer apply to results shown in the European Economic Area; Google may instead let affected sections rank separately. Outside the EEA they still apply, and we never publish on other people's sites to borrow their authority.

  • An outlet with a real audience in your sector or area.
  • Editorial context about your topic.
  • Natural anchor text, no forced keywords.
  • The power to send you visitors on its own.

PR angles journalists actually publish

Journalists publish what their audience can't read elsewhere: original data, a named expert's view or a first-hand story. Google calls this non-commodity content, and its AI search guide, updated in July 2026, names it the most influential long-term factor for generative search.

We find those angles inside your business: an online shop analysing its returns to show which sizes fail; a clinic explaining why it changed a protocol; a restaurant tracing where each ingredient comes from. No invented statistics: every figure has a source and method.

  • Studies on your own or public data, with the method explained.
  • Fast expert comment when your sector is in the news.
  • Reference guides and resources other media want to link to.
  • Company and people stories with local interest.
  • Useful tools such as calculators, maps or templates.

Press coverage in Mallorca, Spain and beyond

Useful coverage is what your customers read: Mallorca and Balearic press for a local business; national media, trade titles and the press in your buyers' countries, such as the UK or Germany, for a brand selling further afield.

Each market needs its own angle, language and timing, and many outlets plan features weeks ahead. We run digital PR in Spain and abroad in native English and Spanish, coordinated with international SEO so every link points to the right version of your site; locally, island coverage supports your local SEO.

In depth

Your brand, consistent across the web

For Google and AI assistants to connect your brand with your topic, every profile and mention must describe it the same way. We fix mismatches in name, activity, address and phone, claim your profiles and add Organization markup with sameAs links.

We list you only in directories that matter in your sector (Clutch or Sortlist for B2B services, with genuine profiles) and in Wikidata when you meet its notability criteria. We build spokesperson pages with verifiable credentials and reclaim unlinked mentions; reviews belong to online reputation management.

The SERMAN approach

Why do digital PR with SERMAN

  1. Authority for Google and AI

Each campaign is planned for search engines and the sources assistants consult.

  2. Angles with substance

We start from what your business knows and does, not generic press releases.

  3. Everything in view

Every outlet contacted, piece published and link earned, with no hidden networks.

What it is not

What we don't do

  • No link packages and no guaranteed number of links: each outlet decides what it covers.
  • No private blog networks (PBNs), expired domains or link exchanges.
  • No sponsored posts dressed up as editorial content.
  • No fabricated mentions in forums, comments or fake lists.
  • Not instant: authority builds over months.

What we measure

How we measure digital PR

Quality and impact, not volume, with the data in your accounts.

  1. Quality referring domains

New links assessed for relevance, audience and editorial context.

  2. Coverage and brand mentions

Pieces and mentions with and without links, by market and language.

  3. Copilot citations

Bing Webmaster Tools' AI Performance report, in preview since February 2026, shows Copilot citations of your pages.

  4. Impressions in Google's AI

Since 31 August 2026, Search Console has shown every site its AI Overviews and AI Mode impressions, without clicks.

  5. Branded search

Growth in searches for your name after each campaign.

  6. Referral visits

Traffic from media and its conversions, through reliable analytics.

  • Your team knows things that deserve coverage.
  • You want press in Mallorca, across Spain or in your international markets.
  • You bought links in the past and want something more solid.
  • Competitors appear in AI answers and your brand doesn't.
  • You're launching a product or entering a new market.

Compliance

Rules we follow

Applied by default; not a substitute for legal advice.

  1. Google spam policies

No bought links, excessive exchanges, expired domain abuse or site reputation abuse; since May 2026 the policies also cover Google's generative AI responses.

  2. Identifiable advertising

Paid collaborations are labelled as sponsored and their links qualified, as Google requires; Spain's LSSI also requires commercial communications to be identifiable.

  3. Journalists' data

We handle professional contact details under the GDPR and Spain's LOPDGDD, and any journalist can opt out of further pitches.

Industries

Where we apply it

  • Professional, Financial & B2B Services

Marketing for law, tax and advisory firms, financial services and B2B companies: citable expertise, AI visibility, LinkedIn and a measurable pipeline.

  • Marine & Superyacht Services

B2B marketing for refit yards, marine technology, crew and supply companies: found and shortlisted by captains, yacht managers and AI assistants.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is link building, and does it still work in 2026?

Link building means getting other sites to link to yours. It still works when links are earned from relevant media, because they help Google discover your pages and understand your authority. Buying them no longer works and carries real risk.

Is it safe to buy backlinks?

No. Google's spam policies treat buying or selling links for ranking as spam, which can lead to a manual action. If a paid collaboration makes sense for its audience, the link is marked as sponsored.

What is the difference between link building and digital PR?

Link building is the goal: earning links. Digital PR is the method that works today: stories, data and expert comment that media publish because their readers care. Beyond links, it brings mentions, visits and reputation.

Do brand mentions help you appear in ChatGPT?

They can. When ChatGPT searches the web, it finds what other sources say about you, and a brand covered by trusted media may have better odds of being mentioned. Nobody can guarantee it, so we track your sector's key questions.

How many links does my site need to rank?

There's no set number: it depends on your competitors, sector and site quality. A few links from relevant media usually do more than many from sites without an audience, so we benchmark your authority against whoever already ranks.

How do you get press coverage in Mallorca and Spain?

With a story readers care about: local news, data on the island or your sector, or timely expert comment. A briefed spokesperson and fast replies help; we find the angle, prepare the material and reach the right journalist.

How much does a digital PR agency cost?

It depends on markets, languages, campaigns, content needed and competition. After a diagnosis we send a tailored quarterly proposal; our link building services never include individual links or packages.
