What it is

What an AI creative studio does

An AI creative studio makes three things: motion graphics, 3D renders and animation, and ad-variant systems. At our motion design agency, people own the idea, the art direction and the hero pieces; AI multiplies versions by format, language and message, and a person approves every asset before it goes live.

Producing an image or a clip costs less every year, so volume is no longer an advantage. What is scarce is craft, brand consistency and control over rights, consent and transparency.

This page covers motion, 3D and performance creative. Camera-led shoots and photography sit under video production; the identity everything starts from, under branding.

In depth

What the studio makes: motion graphics, 3D and variants

The studio makes moving pieces to explain, identify and sell. We start from your identity and deliver each piece in the formats, lengths and languages each channel requires, with editable files your team can keep using.

  • Motion identity: how your logo, type and transitions move, documented in a guide.
  • Explainer motion: a product, service or process made clear within seconds.
  • 3D product animation: renders from any angle, without a shoot for every version.
  • Vertical social motion: native pieces for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, with captions.
  • Ad-variant systems: modular templates with interchangeable hooks, messages and formats.
  • Interactive web motion: animation and 3D built into web design projects.

Motion graphics, 3D animation or a shoot: when to use each

Motion graphics suits what cannot be filmed: a process, a data point, a digital service. 3D animation suits a product that must be seen inside, from any angle or before it exists. A shoot is right when real people and real places do the persuading.

Few projects are pure. A launch piece may combine filmed shots, a product render and animated type, and the ad variants are cut from it afterwards. We choose the technique at concept stage, based on what the piece must prove, how many versions you need and how long it will stay in use: a motion system or a 3D model can be reused and updated without starting again.

Performance creative for automated platforms

On automated ad platforms, creative is the lever that leaves you most control. The algorithm increasingly decides audience, placements and budget; what you supply are the assets it learns from. So, as a performance creative agency, we build variant systems, not one-off ads.

On Meta, as of October 2026, Advantage+ is on by default for sales, app and leads campaigns, and detailed targeting exclusions were removed in 2025. Press reports say Meta aims to fully automate ad creation and targeting: a reported goal, not a confirmed fact. TikTok Smart+ and, on Google, Performance Max and AI Max follow the same logic: more automated decisions, more weight on creative.

Formats set the specifications. Demand Gen lets advertisers choose placements such as YouTube Shorts, in-stream and in-feed, each with its own ratio, length and pace. Every concept adapts to all of them, connected TV included, ready for whoever runs your paid social advertising or YouTube video campaigns.

Creative testing: from hypothesis to learning

Creative testing means testing ideas, not uploading ads at random. Each variant answers a written hypothesis, has its place in a matrix and is read against criteria set before launch. What we learn is recorded and guides the next production round, so each sprint starts from data rather than taste.

Platforms now ship their own generative tools: Google, for example, presented automatic variations and creative A/B tests inside Asset Studio, in Google Ads, in May 2026. We use them where they help, but they replace neither hypothesis nor brand direction. Whether creative drives sales that would not have happened anyway is a question for marketing measurement and its incrementality tests.

  • Hypothesis: what we expect to work, for whom and why, written before production.
  • Variant matrix: concept, hook, format and message, with a single variable changed per comparison.
  • Readout: metrics and thresholds agreed in advance, and enough data before drawing conclusions.
  • Learnings library: what worked, what did not and in which context, to decide what gets made next.

Governed AI: brand, rights and transparency

Using generative AI without losing the brand takes rules before production starts. We work with a brand AI kit: a prompt library, style references, approved elements and tone guardrails. It grows out of your identity and belongs to you.

Rights are settled before anything is generated: owned or licensed source material, written consent for any person's likeness or voice, and a log of what went into each asset. We never create synthetic testimonials, reviews or customers.

Transparency has a legal basis. Article 50 of the EU AI Act has applied since 2 August 2026: anyone publishing a deepfake, meaning AI-generated or manipulated image, audio or video that shows people, places or events and could pass as authentic, must disclose it; and generative AI providers must mark outputs in a machine-readable way, with a grace period until 2 December 2026 for systems already on the market. It is not a blanket duty to label all advertising creative.

Our references are the European Commission's voluntary Code of Practice on marking and labelling AI-generated content (June 2026) and the IAB's AI transparency and disclosure framework, updated in August 2026, which recommends risk-based disclosure for synthetic people, voices and digital twins and asks for no label on routine edits.

Variants by language and market: adapted, not just translated

A multilingual piece is planned from the script, not translated at the end. Each language changes text length, voice-over pace and the references people recognise, so we design templates with room for the longest language and write each version natively, in English and in Spanish.

AI speeds up captions, format adaptations and first drafts of copy, which a fluent person then reviews. Synthetic voices are used only under licence, and a real person's voice only with their written consent. If your brand sells from Mallorca to visitors and international markets, each market gets its own version, with its own hook, captions and call to action.

Motion for the web: smooth, light and accessible

Motion on the web must run smoothly on an ordinary phone and respect anyone who prefers no movement. We animate only transforms and opacity, offer a calm version when reduced motion is on, and add a pause control to anything that moves on its own, as WCAG criterion 2.2.2 (Pause, Stop, Hide) requires. The rest of the interface is covered under UX/UI and accessibility.

This website is our demo: its background video and animations can be paused with one button and do not play when your system asks for less motion. Any other sample we show is labelled as a SERMAN-made demo, never as client work.

The SERMAN approach

Why work with the SERMAN studio

  1. Craft and AI in one team

Whoever directs the art decides where AI helps and where it does not.

  2. Creative connected to data

The studio works alongside your media team, so each round builds on what was learnt.

  3. English and Spanish, written natively

Scripts, on-screen text and captions are written in each language, not translated at the last minute.

  4. Everything stays with you

Source files, prompts, templates and logs are yours, with no lock-in.

What it is not

What this service is not

  • Not mass production: no generic AI output without direction or human review.
  • No fake people endorsing your product; no invented testimonials, reviews or case studies.
  • No guaranteed ROAS, cost per result or uplift percentage: we promise method.

What we measure

How we know the creative is working

We name the indicators and read them with you; we do not promise figures.

  1. Early retention

How many people keep watching after the first seconds, by hook and format.

  2. CTR and conversion by concept

Which idea earns clicks and which ends in enquiries or sales.

  3. Cost per result by concept

Which idea wins enquiries or sales for less spend, read together with whoever runs the campaigns.

  4. Creative fatigue

When an asset loses performance and needs replacing.

  5. Format and language coverage

Whether each concept has a version for the placements and markets you advertise in.

  6. Learning rate

Hypotheses tested and conclusions documented in each cycle.

Who it's for

A particularly good fit if…

  • Your ads on Meta, Google, TikTok or YouTube wear out before replacements are ready.
  • You sell a product that needs explaining or showing from every angle.
  • Your team uses generative AI and every asset comes out in a different style.
  • You need the same pieces in English, Spanish and other languages without rebuilding them.

Compliance

Rules and frameworks we apply

Applied by default; not a substitute for legal advice.

  1. EU AI Act (Article 50)

We visibly label any deepfake and favour tools that mark their outputs in a machine-readable way.

  2. Creator advertising

Pieces featuring creators, or imitating their style, are identified as advertising (#publi in Spain); see influencer and UGC.

  3. Environmental claims

Directive (EU) 2024/825, which applies from 27 September 2026, bans generic claims such as 'eco' or 'green' unless recognised excellent environmental performance can be demonstrated. Our scripts and on-screen text use only specific, provable statements.

  4. Motion accessibility

A reduced-motion version, pause control (WCAG 2.2.2), captions and sufficient contrast on pieces with text.

Industries

Where we apply it

  • Consumer Brands & DTC Ecommerce

Ecommerce marketing for fashion, beauty, home and lifestyle brands: AI-visible products, creative, marketplaces, creators and repeat purchase.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is motion design and what do brands use it for?

Motion design is graphic design in movement: typography, shapes, illustration and 3D animated to explain or sell within seconds. Brands use it in ads, explainers, social media and websites. As a motion design agency, we start from your identity so every piece is recognisably yours.

How much does a motion graphics video or 3D animation cost?

It depends on scope: length, number of pieces and versions, 3D complexity, whether script, illustration, voice-over or music are needed, and how many languages and formats. After a first call, we send a proposal by sprint, listing the deliverables in each.

Can AI-made ads stay on-brand?

Yes, if AI works inside a system. With a brand AI kit and a person reviewing every asset, variants stay consistent. Without it, each generation drifts towards a different style.

Do AI-generated ads have to be labelled?

Not always. Article 50 of the EU AI Act, which has applied since 2 August 2026, requires disclosure of deepfakes: realistic content that could pass as authentic. It is not a general rule for all creative. Even so, we disclose synthetic people or voices, as the IAB framework recommends.

How many ad variants should you test?

There is no fixed number. It depends on budget and on how many conversions each ad receives: with little data, too many variants make results unreadable. We prefer a few clear hypotheses with one variable changed per test, and scale up once an idea proves itself.

Who owns the files, prompts and models when the project ends?

You do. We hand over source files, templates, the prompt library, the brand AI kit and the rights log. A model tuned on your materials stays under your control, within what each tool's licence allows.

What is the difference between motion graphics, 3D animation and filmed video?

Motion graphics animates graphic design: typography, shapes and illustration. 3D animation builds objects and spaces with volume, useful for showing a product from any angle. Filmed video captures real people and places on camera, which we cover under video production. Many pieces combine all three.

Do you use AI to generate people or voices in ads?

Only under conditions. Using a real person's likeness or voice requires their written consent, and any synthetic person or voice that could pass as real is disclosed. We never generate fictional customers, experts or testimonials to endorse your product.

Can you work with our in-house team or another media agency?

Yes. The studio hands pieces and variant systems to whoever runs your campaigns, with each platform's specifications, tidy naming and the testing plan. If SERMAN runs the campaigns, creative and media work in one team.
