What it is
Custom web development pays off when your site must do something a template handles poorly: stay fast with lots of content or several languages, connect to your CRM, booking engine or ERP, or grow without piling up plugins. We offer web development in Spain from our Mallorca base, for clients nationwide and abroad.
It isn't always the answer. For a simple corporate site edited daily, a well-built WordPress install may be wiser; if selling products is the priority, an ecommerce platform such as Shopify usually gets you there sooner. We say so in the diagnosis, before quoting for code you don't need.
This page covers the engineering: architecture, performance, integrations, deployment, migrations and maintenance. Visual strategy, motion and UX sit within web design, run by the same team.
In depth
A headless architecture separates the content management system from the site people see, linking them through an API. Your team edits in a CMS such as Sanity or Storyblok; the site runs on Next.js, a React framework that serves ready-made HTML from the server or at build time and splits JavaScript by page.
We build for Google's Core Web Vitals thresholds: LCP at or under 2.5 seconds, INP under 200 milliseconds and CLS under 0.1. INP replaced FID on 12 March 2024 and measures how quickly a page responds to each tap or click, so heavy JavaScript is paid for in experience.
So we set a performance budget per template: optimised images with reserved space, non-blocking fonts, audited third-party scripts and a CDN serving the site close to each visitor, checked on every deployment.
In depth
An AI-ready website is, above all, semantic and accessible. Google's guide to AI search, updated in July 2026, says agentic browsers may read screenshots, the DOM and the accessibility tree, and points to web.dev's practices for agent-friendly sites.
In practice: real buttons and links, labelled forms and key information in text, not images. Agentic commerce is early: the Universal Commerce Protocol Google announced in January 2026 powers checkout with eligible US retailers in AI Mode and the Gemini app, and OpenAI retired ChatGPT's Instant Checkout. Today's job is having data and markup ready.
At deployment we agree an AI-bot policy in robots.txt and at the CDN: OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot and PerplexityBot bring search visibility; GPTBot and ClaudeBot collect training data and can be blocked separately. Since 1 July 2025, Cloudflare has blocked known AI crawlers by default and asks new domains to choose. Visibility inside assistants is the job of GEO.
In depth
A website earns its keep when every enquiry, booking or payment flows into the system that handles it. We connect it to your CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive), booking engine, payment gateway (Stripe, Redsys or PayPal), ERP or email platform through APIs and webhooks, with retries and error logging.
Each integration is documented: what data moves, where, on what legal basis and who can access it. That lets us chain marketing automation or an AI agent on your site without data silos.
Measurement is engineering too: GA4 and Tag Manager with Consent Mode v2 and, where it fits, Google tag gateway for advertisers, which serves tags from your own domain (generally available with Cloudflare since May 2025 and Google Cloud since June 2026). It never replaces consent; see analytics and tracking.
In depth
Changing platform needn't cost visibility if the migration is treated as engineering. We inventory URLs carrying traffic, links or conversions, build a one-to-one 301 redirect map and keep canonicals, hreflang and structured data equivalent.
We work on a staging site kept out of the index and go live in a low-risk window, well away from any seasonal peak, then monitor crawling and indexing with our technical SEO team.
In depth
A custom website needs ongoing maintenance: dependency updates, security patches, tested backups, uptime monitoring and performance reviews. Without it, the fastest site at launch degrades with every script or version left behind.
Each plan sets what we monitor, response times by severity and monthly development time for small improvements. Every change goes through version control, automated tests and staging. AI helps us review code and write tests, but a person approves every change, and customer data never enters external tools without your agreement.
What's included
Combined to suit the project, from a headless corporate site to an integrated web app.
Stack, CMS, hosting, CDN and integrations chosen in writing, with the reasoning.
Next.js, React and TypeScript with semantic, accessible HTML and a performance budget per template.
Content models, languages, roles and previews so your team publishes unaided.
CRM, bookings, payments, ERP and email connected with error logging.
GA4, Tag Manager, Consent Mode v2 and a written AI-bot decision for robots.txt and the CDN.
Automated tests, accessibility and security review, documentation and training.
How we work
Five phases with deliverables and your sign-off. Timings are set in the proposal; see our method.
Phase 01 / 05
Current platform, performance, integrations, risks and what must be kept.
Phase 02 / 05
Stack, content models, data flows and acceptance criteria.
Phase 03 / 05
Short releases to staging, with performance, accessibility and security testing.
Phase 04 / 05
Redirects, bot policy, measurement and monitoring live in a low-risk window.
Phase 05 / 05
A care plan, field-data reviews and improvements by impact.
The SERMAN approach
Our developers understand SEO, measurement and conversion, so the site is built to win business.
Core Web Vitals targets per template, checked against real-user data.
Code, repositories, domain, hosting and accounts in your name.
What it is not
What we measure
We review technical health and its business effect every time.
Real-user LCP, INP and CLS by template, in Chrome UX Report and Search Console.
Availability, and server and browser errors resolved.
Leads, bookings and payments reaching their system, and failed syncs.
Incidents after each deployment and time to fix.
Error-free form submissions and WhatsApp clicks, within the limits of consent.

Who it's for
Compliance
By default; not a substitute for legal advice.
Since 28 June 2025, consumer e-commerce in Spain must be accessible, except service micro-enterprises. We code to WCAG and EN 301 549.
No analytics or advertising cookies before consent, with 'reject' as easy as 'accept', per the AEPD cookie guide.
First-layer notices on every form and documented data flows.
Since 2 August 2026, Article 50 requires telling users at the start that they're talking to an AI; every assistant we connect does.

Each video is a real recording of the site scrolling through its home page. The ones marked as preview are new sites still under review by the client.

Building your site with its own code, shaped around your business, rather than adapting a template. You control performance, security, integrations and experience, usually with Next.js plus a headless CMS your team edits without coding.
Content is separated from presentation: your team edits in the CMS while an optimised front end serves the site. You gain speed, design freedom, security and easier multilingual publishing, but each new template needs development.
A React framework that renders pages on the server or ahead of time, so the browser receives HTML ready to display, with image optimisation, code splitting and caching built in. Final speed still depends on how the site is built.
It depends on the technology, integrations, monitoring level, response times and the monthly improvements you want. After a first conversation we propose a written plan showing what it covers and what it doesn't.
Yes. We connect sites to CRMs, booking engines, payment gateways, ERPs and email platforms through their APIs, with error logging. Without an API, we find the most reliable alternative and explain its limits.
Yes. We're based in Palma de Mallorca and work with companies across Spain and abroad, in English and Spanish, in person or remotely. Code and accounts always stay in your name.
